What you are looking at is the Tennessee River System. In order to best understand this river system anglers should keep in mind that our lakes are actualy rivers running under lakes.

Differing water temperatures and corresponding difference in water density cause horizontal seams in the water column, it is along these seams that variations in water flow are manifest.
